How I lost 130,000g without even being online!

Ok. Not exactly a great topic to attract new visitors to my blog but I thought I’d share…

How was your Labor Day weekend? Mine was very …..memorable..

Day before Labor Day my son saw someone riding a red rocket in Stormwind and he asked me where could he get one? I told him it’s from Trading Card Game X-51 Nether-Rocket X-TREME and I had to say it that sometimes they sell them in Auction House….yeah I know I was sorry I said that the minute I blurred it out… My son went to an Auction House and there were 3 for sale prices ranged from 130,000 – 150,000g per each. I told him NOT to buy a rocket because in MOP Engineers will be able to craft much cooler rockets. He said he won’t.

Then Sunday morning when he woke up he asked me for a calculator. I asked him wth he needs a calculator for? He said “I need to count how much money daddy’s account has”…I said ok but don’t buy anything and left to do grocery shopping.

I return home two hours later…my son greeds me with “I bought a rocket!!!!”

Me : “What rocket?”

Him : “One we saw in Auction House!”

Me: “Where did you get the gold?”

Him : “From daddy’s account and yours”

Me: “How much was it???”

Him : Only 130,000g

Me: “OMG!!! &*(&*#$”

Me: Running to my computer looking at my gold … 100,000g remained between my husband’s and my account that’s 50,000g each before Mists of Pandaria!!!

Me : Upset, speechless, angry, flabbergasted.

I did not yell at my son (well maybe a little) I was angry that I told him NOT to buy that rocket and he did it anyway! Lesson learned on my part : If you are going somewhere and leaving your kids to play your account : Change your password so they won’t be able to login and blame it on Blizzard. Or don’t let them play at all.
